2009-10 Nomination Form A Call for Candidates ASCD Members: The ASCD Nominations Committee Needs Your Action |

ASCD needs insightful, hardworking leaders who will continue our collective efforts toward becoming an organization of significance. Working together, we can transform our future challenges into opportunities. To accomplish this goal, ASCD seeks your action. |

The 2009-10 Nominations Committee invites all members to self-select or to encourage qualified individuals interested in being nominated for significant and strategic leadership positions within the organization to apply. The application deadline is January 31, 2010. |

In 2010, the General Membership Election will fill positions for

The Nominations Committee will also seek candidates from the Leadership Council to fill three positions on the Board of Directors, to be elected by Leadership Council members. |
|||||
Applicants for President-Elect and Board of Directors positions will be interviewed by the Nominations Committee at ASCD's Annual Conference in San Antonio, TX. The interviews will be scheduled on either Friday, March 5, or Saturday, March 6. |
|||||
We need a high-quality and passionate slate of candidates who will provide essential leadership for ASCD. Your thoughtful action to seek candidates for these key positions is appreciated. |

Before you begin filling out the form online, please print the entire application and review it carefully. You should prepare all of your materials in advance of completing the online application. |

|
If you cannot complete the nomination form in one sitting, you can save your work and return later. To do so, you will create a login and password before you begin filling out the form, which you will then use to return to the form later. A spell check function is available for the "reflective statement" field. |

Read the general nomination information—including position fact sheet, ASCD policy, and reminders—on the following page carefully before you move on to complete the nomination form. |

|
Complete the required fields in each section (Candidate Information Form, Resume Summary, Optional Demographic Data, and Letters of Recommendation). |
||||
|
Be sure to print and send copies of the Letter of Recommendation Contact Sheet to those persons who are writing confidential letters of recommendation for you. The letter writers must complete the contact sheet and return it along with their letter of recommendation directly to the Nominations Committee chair for the nomination to be considered complete. |
