What Is the Curriculum Handbook?

The ASCD Curriculum Handbook is a subscription product that keeps you up to date on curriculum trends and resources in all the major subject areas. It also provides valuable information on the curriculum renewal process.

When you subscribe to the ASCD Curriculum Handbook, you will immediately receive the following:

• Ten book-length chapters on the major subject areas.
• Two book-length chapters on curriculum renewal.
• Access to the Curriculum Handbook Web site, which includes all the material in the print version of the Handbook, as well as other resources. The Web site is fully searchable.
• Two attractive, large binders for storing the 12 chapters of the Handbook.

Then, during the course of the year, you will receive

• Four revised, updated chapters. These are replacements for four of the chapters currently in your Handbook.
• Four issues of the Curriculum*Technology Quarterly (CTQ) newsletter, which explores how to use technology to improve teaching and learning.
• Four "Focus On" features (a pull-out section in the CTQ newsletter), each of which provides an update on one of the major subject areas or highlights an important curriculum trend.

To keep you on the cutting edge of curriculum, the materials in the Curriculum Handbook are on a carefully planned revision cycle. Each chapter is revised and updated every 3 years. When a particular chapter is 1.5 years old, a "Focus On" feature devoted to that topic provides an interim update.

The cost of a Curriculum Handbook subscription is $425 (ASCD members) and $500 (nonmembers). The cost to renew a Handbook subscription is $325 (ASCD members) and $400 (nonmembers).
